Melrose Bay Art Gallery
is a co-op of artists, all of whom share a voice in making decisions and managing the business aspects of the gallery.
Membership in the gallery is restricted to about 16 artists because of limited space, and changes only when a current Member retires from active gallery membership. An artist who is interested in becoming a Member should be willing to work a periodic front desk shift, take on added responsibilities of administration, and pay quarterly dues. Artists who find those criteria fit their expectations can apply by sending an email through this website expressing interest in Membership. We will
respond with additional information and requests. Participating Members
and Associate Members
comprise the core of the gallery and each pays dues, and assumes responsibility for some part of the management.
Participating Members have a vote and Associate Members do not.Affiliate Members
are former members who have contributed significantly to the success and direction of the gallery, but are no longer active and are not exhibiting work in the gallery.Friends of the Gallery
are the valued supporters and patrons of Melrose Bay Gallery who help keep us going! Financial donations from Friends of the Gallery can be allocated to special projects, to sponsoring the promotion of monthly shows, or simply to helping us thrive and grow in the local and regional art community. Friends of the Gallery are invited to exhibit previews, special events, and receive postcards and notices of all events at the gallery. We invite you to become a supporter and Friend of the Gallery by filling out the page on this site, or by contacting the gallery.
