TIM MALLES
Landscapes, public art and astronomy themes are some of the targets of Tim's work. A native Floridian (born Miami, 1954), his passion to paint the Florida landscape is inspired by the extreme changes in the environment experienced by our generation. He feels challenged by the attempt to capture something of the beauty that is still there while expressing the emotions that witness it being lost forever. Water themes are recurrent in his work and he is particularly drawn to the springs of Florida, their beauty and number unique in our world.

Tim grew up during the birth of the space age and his space art reflects that experience. "I am grateful for the fantastic views that the great telescopes of our generation have given us. At the dawn of civilization awakening to these amazing new images of faraway places, I, the artist, find an infinite cosmos of inspiration and creative possibilities there."

Tim is mostly a self taught artist, forever teaching, forever learning, and works on location and at his studio on Possum Creek in Gainesville, FL. He enjoys working in various media and styles on projects that can be finished in one session as well as those that require years of research and dedication. "Always seeking the path to higher creativity, I love diving into the blank canvas. Such great discoveries await us there! "
